Big 8 Beverages

The brand name Big 8 was created in the 1930s by Fenton and his brother-in-law George Fenton. They named their cola-drink Big 8, after the eight-cent price for a bottle roughly a litre in size. Coca-Cola

The Coco-Cola Company

Originally marketed as a temperance drink and intended as a patent medicine, it was invented in the late 19th century by John Stith Pemberton in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1888, Pemberton sold Coca-Cola's ownership rights to Asa Griggs Candler, a businessman, whose marketing tactics led Coca-Cola to its dominance of the global soft-drink market throughout the 20th and 21st century. The drink's name refers to two of its original ingredients: coca leaves and kola nuts (a source of caffeine).

Cuba Cola

Spendrups Bryggeri AB

Cuba Cola was Sweden's first cola on the soft drinks market. Already in February 1953, the ground-breaking drink with the lively taste was launched - a historic event in other words. And an important one! You rarely talk about Eugene A. Cernan, who trudged around on the moon in December 1972, three years after Neil Armstrong. First is always first. We are Neil.

This iconic soft drink was first launched back in 1953 and the brand has been owned since 2018 by Spendrups.

The drink began to be manufactured in the United States in the early 1890s by pharmacist Caleb Bradham to be used against stomach aches. In 1893 the product was launched as "Brad's drink" and in 1898 it changed its name to "Pepsi-Cola".

In 1963 Pepsi released Patio Diet Coke. In 1964, the PepsiCo dropped the confusing brand clash, and Patio Diet Cola became now known as Diet Pepsi.

2007, Diet Pepsi MAX was introduced in the United States, and later in Canada (March 2008). "Diet" was dropped from the name in early 2009. Pepsi MAX is a zero-calorie, sugar-free cola.

Cockta-Logo_Cola-Zero.com

Cockta

Atlantic Grupa

Cockta was created by Emerik Zelinka and launched in 1953 in what was then Yugoslavia (now Slovenia). It is a soft drink without caffeine and orthophosphoric acid (unlike most colas). The flavor comes from things like rockrose, rosehip, lemon, orange, vitamin C and eleven different herbs. The name Cockta has nothing to do with cola, but is an abbreviation of cocktail and refers to the fact that it is a mixture of a lot of different ingredients.

Dr Pepper

Dr Pepper Snapple Group

Dr. Pepper was first offered for sale in the city of Waco, Texas, in 1885. The recipe had been developed by pharmacist Charles Alderton at Morrison's Old Corner Drug Store in Waco. He offered shopkeeper Wade Morrison to try the new drink, and he liked it. After further taste tests, Alderton persuaded Morrison to let its store customers sample the novelty. The regular customers liked the drink and started ordering a "Waco" more and more often. The drink was a hit with its cherry and root beer-like taste.
